1. Winners of the KFM Symphony of Fire 2006! On Wednesday, 29 March 2006, Fireworks for Africa, showed both the Spanairds & the Canadians how it's done! The KFM Symphony of Fire was held over 4 days at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town & is the largest event of its kind on the African continent. Internationally renowned fireworks display companies from 3 countries were invited to astound audiences from around South Africa. Their shows were incredibly complex & needed many months of meticulous planning & preparation.
Our South African team, Fireworks for Africa, headed by Nick Mitri (owner), did us proud with their ingenious concoction of light, sound & raw excitement!
2. International Competitions for 2006 L'International des Feux Loto-Quebec Fireworks for Africa has been invited to compete at the biggest fireworks competition in the world, L'International des Feux Loto-Québec. This tremendous honour is highlighted by the fact that in July 2006, Fireworks for Africa will become the first team ever, from Africa, to compete for the coveted Jupiter Trophy. The event was founded in 1985 & gathers vast crowds of enthusiasts, including citizens from the greater Montréal area and countless tourists.
